John S. Neel, Jr. - CEO

John S. Neel, Jr. is the founder of The Sanford Company which he started in October 2002. Prior to forming Sanford, Mr. Neel was Senior Vice President of Insurance and Risk Management of Central Georgia Health System (CGHS). CGHS includes the Medical Center of Central Georgia, a 620 bed tertiary care teaching hospital. While employed by CGHS, he was responsible for the formation, management, and administration of three Cayman captive insurance companies owned by CGHS. Mr. Neel served as Chief Executive Officer for all three of these offshore companies as well as a member on the Board of Directors for each. Mr. Neel, a graduate of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, is a licensed insurance broker in Georgia and received his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1990. He has been involved with the creation and operations of dozens of captive insurance companies, Risk Retention Groups, and other various types of insurance programs. Mr. Neel is a regular speaker at worldwide captive conferences and consults on insurance and risk management issues throughout the United States, Caribbean, and United Kingdom.

James M. "Jimbo" Walker - Senior Vice President, Sanford Insurance - (Direct: 478-471-4224)

Jimbo Walker attended the University of Mississippi and then transferred to "God's Country", where he received a BS degree in AG Economics from the University of Georgia. He has been in the insurance business since that time and has excelled as a personal lines and then later as a commercial lines producer. Jimbo is very active in the community. He has served on the Board of Directors for The MIddle Georgia Heart Association, Children's Hospital, Idle Hour Country Club, and Macon Civic Club. Jimbo is a past President of the Macon Civic Club, St. Andrews Neighborhood Association and PIA of Middle Georgia. Jimbo is an avid University of Georgia Football Fan.

John W. Calloway, Sr. - Senior Vice President, Finance and Compliance - (Direct: 478-471-4225)

John Calloway began his career as a field underwriter for The New York Life Insurance Company in 1976. He has hands on experience with underwriting, claims management, policy issuance, and marketing. John has been with The Sanford Company since 2003 and oversees its day to day operations. He is a licensed Georgia adjuster, and an agent holding Property & Casualty, Life, Accident, and Sickness licenses and is a Licensed Surplus Lines Broker.

Jeffrey N. Moss, Sr. - Senior Vice President, Business Development - (Direct: 478-471-4239)

Jeff Moss, graduated from the University of Georgia in 1987 with a BS in Agronomy Business. A Distinguished Military Graduate, Jeff served in the United States Army from 1987 - 1992. For his combat service during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm as an attack helicopter pilot, Jeff received the Bronze Star. In 1992, he began a nineteen year career with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals holding many positions in sales, marketing, and leadership. He received numerous top sales awards during his career. Most notably, Jeff was the 2007 recipient of the UpJohn Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Spirit, one of seven winners in Pfizer's World Wide organization! Jeff brings 25 years of sales, marketing, and corporate leadership experience to The Sanford Company. He is well known for his innovative approach to business solutions along with his drive and customer centric ideology. Jeff holds Insurance Licenses for GA, AL, SC, FL, and TN for Property and Casualty, Life, Accident, and Sickness, and is a Licensed Georgia Property and Casualty Adjustor.

John S. Neel Sr. - Senior Vice President, Customer Services

John S. Neel, Sr., has been with the Sanford Company since July, 2009.
A combat veteran, John served in the United States Army from 1964 - 1967. For his service in Vietnam as a U1-A Otter Crew Chief, John was awarded the Air Medal.
He incorporated John S. Neel and Son Enterprises over twenty two years ago. With the company now being run by his youngest son, Michael, John was able to join The Sanford Company. His wealth of knowledge in business development and customer relations has been instrumental in the continued growth and expansion of The Sanford Company.

Jim Lambert, CIC - Vice President, Sanford Insurance - (Direct: 478-471-4228)

Jim Lambert is a native of Macon, GA. He graduated from Middle Georgia College with an Associate Degree in Engineering, Georgia Southern College with a degree in Business Administration and Georgia State University with a Masters Degree in Insurance.
A Veteran, Jim served in the United States Army from 1969 -1976 attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He accumulated over 500 hours piloting the OH-58 Scout while serving with the 1st Aviation Brigade at Fort Rucker, Alabama.
Jim has over 40 years experience in the insurance industry. He started his career with Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. as a claims adjuster in 1970. He was also the sales trainer and a District Sales Manager with Georgia Farm Bureau. In 1980 he founded Allen & Lambert, Inc. a property and casualty insurance agency in Macon, GA. He sold the agency in 2010 to the Sanford Company and remains active with them in the sales of property and casualty insurance.

He is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and is licensed in 10 states.

Summer Sterling Liipfert - Vice President, Sales - (Direct: 478-471-4223)

Summer Sterling Liipfert, a native of Macon, GA, attended the University of Georgia graduating in 2007 Cum Laude with a BS in Nutrition Science. After graduating from UGA, Summer Sterling gained patient care experience at the Medical University of South Carolina. In 2008, she was accepted at South University in Savannah in the Physician Assistant Program. In 2009, Summer Sterling joined the Sanford Company and was charged with developing market and sales strategies for the implementation of a unique Mobile Dentistry Service designed to provide much needed Dental Care within the Long Term Care Sector. With Summer Sterling's leadership, the Dental Program's enrollment increased from two hundred patients to well over three thousand in a twelve month period. Summer Sterling maintains her Life and Health Insurance License and is directly responsible for increasing the enrollment in the Dynamic Mobile Dentistry Program.

Robert E. Wilkin, Jr. - Vice President, Insurance Services - (Direct: 478-471-4230)

Rob Wilkin received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Georgia in 1999 and 2001 respectively. Post college he worked with the Federal Crop Insurance Agency as Risk Management Education Director for the Southeastern United States and as a Risk Management Specialist, gaining experience in underwriting, actuarial analysis, and claims management. Rob joined the Sanford Company in 2005 where his area of expertise has been developing and managing all aspects of alternative risk financing programs, such as captive insurance companies. He also acts as claims manager for several workers compensation and professional/general liability programs for The Sanford Company. He holds Georgia Property & Casualty and Life & Health agent licenses and is a licensed adjuster. Rob maintains the Certified Workers Compensation Professional designation.

Nancy Braswell - CSR, Personal Lines - (Direct: 478-471-4236)

Nancy, grew up in Southern California and moved to Georgia seventeen years ago. She began her insurance career in 1978, working for an Equine Insurance Agency and obtained her California Property and Casualty license, as well as her life and health license. In 1982 she attended an advanced three week school for agents in Philadelphia sponsored by INA. Since moving to Georgia, Nancy has obtained her Property and Casualty license. She also received her Accredited Customer Service Representative designation in 2005. She has over 20 years of insurance experience in Personal lines and has helped in Commerical lines for the past 2 years. Nancy joined The Sanford Company in May 2011 as Personal Lines Customer Service Representative.

Sharon Chambliss, a native of Cordele, GA attended Georgia Southwestern State University and graduated with an Associates of Applied Science Degree. Sharon has over 25 years of experience in dental, professional and facility medical claims billing. Sharon is a former Medicaid provider field rep with ACS, the previous claims administrator for Georgia Medicaid. During her tenure with ACS she served as a liaison with the GHCA and ACS providing claims resolution to nursing home providers.

Harris Brinson "Brince" Coody - Account Manager

Brince Coody, a native of Hawkinsville, GA attended Georgia State University, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance. After graduation, Brince gained valuable experience as an independent insurance agent in Hawkinsville. After joining the Sanford Company in 2010, Brince has assisted in the continued development of the Dynamic Mobile Dental program as an account manager directly responsible for dental servies in Long Term Care facilities in Southwest GA. He holds a Georgia Property and Casualty agent's license.

Nobea Dobson, ACSR - CSR, Commercial Lines - (Direct: 478-471-4235)

Nobea, is a native of Macon, Georgia. A Graduate of Tattnall Square Academy, she began her Insurance career in 1987. Nobea obtained her Insurance License in 1995 and has taken several insurance classes at Macon State College and has her Accredited Customer Service Representative designation.
Nobea has 24 years of Insurance experience working in all lines of the Property and Casualty Insurance Industry, with her primary focus mainly in commercial lines. Nobea joined The Sanford Company in March 2011 as a Commercial Lines Account Executive.

Sylvia Hathcock - CSR, Personal Lines

Sylvia attended Georgia Southern University. She was a small business owner for 12 years before entering the insurance industry. Sylvia is certified as a Property and Casualty Subagent and brings more than 16 years experience as a customer service representative in personal lines.

Ray King - Plant Operations

Jennifer Merritt, CWCP - Manager, Claims Administration - (Direct: 478-471-4231)

Jennifer Merritt, a Certified Workers Compensation Professional (CWCP), joined the Sanford Company in August of 2004 as a claims adjuster. Ms. Merritt has over twenty eight years of insurance industry experience in the health claims administration for both fully insured and partially self-funded plans. Jennifer has over twelve years experience as a manager for health claims and occupational accident policy.

Ansley Morris - Account Manager

Ansley Morris, a native of Macon, attended the University of Georgia, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Development. Ansley has been in the sales industry for 6 years since graduating from UGA. She holds her Georgia real estate license and sold residential real estate locally for 4 years. Ansley also worked for a Texas based corporation as a sales representative here in Georgia in 2009. Ansley joined The Sanford Company in 2010 and currently assists in the continued development of the Dynamic Mobile Dentistry program as an account manager, directly responsible for dental services in Long Term Care facilities in Northwest Georgia.

Debbie joined The Sanford Company in 2007 as a Billing and Eligibility Director. Debbie has over 25 years of insurance industry experience in the areas of automobile insurance and health claims administration for both fully insured and self-funded plans. She has over 10 years of health claims management experience. In addition, Debbie has previous experience with systems conversion/implementation and training.

A Certified Insurance Counselor, Marlene is a Georgia Licensed Property & Casualty, Life and Health, and Surplus Lines Agent. Marlene also holds numerous non-resident licenses. Marlene has extensive experience in all aspects of management, as well as financial and underwriting segments of the insurance industry. Marlene joined The Sanford Company in February of 2011 to manage all aspects of accounting within The Sanford Group of companies.

Debbie Stephens is a native of Macon, Georgia and a graduate of Southwest High School. She holds her Health and Life insurance agent's license and has been an insurance professional for over 25 years. Before joining The Sanford Company, she served as a Producer and Account Manager for personal health insurance and employee benefit plans at a brokerage agency in Columbus, Georgia. Debbie has served in various capacities of the health insurance industry, from claims processing and customer service, to sales/marketing and account management. She comes to us with extensive knowledge of the individual health market as well as employee benefits. Debbie is dedicated to deliver excellent service to the Middle Georgia area.

Anna Woodward - Finance/Claims Supervisor

Anna Woodward, a native of Griffin, Georgia, attended Georgia Southern University, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance, with an emphasis in Risk Management and Insurance. Immediately after graduation, Anna joined The Sanford Company where she served as an assistant underwriter and claims manager for their Medical Malpractice Professional Liability programs. Anna currently assists in the continued development of the Dynamic Mobile Dentistry program as an account manager, directly responsible for dental services in Long Term Care facilities in Northeast Georgia.
